About Client:

Our client is a well-known market leader in the supply of premium natural health foods that complement the hectic lifestyles of contemporary consumers. In addition to using branded, high-quality natural ingredients, rigors production procedures, and effective marketing methods, they also provide a variety of health supplement products, making them to be the one of Hong Kong's most well-known and recognizable brands. Currently they are active seeking a potential candidate for Assistant Procurement Manager to supporting prepare reports for projection and cost-savings plans, cost analysis, and contract compilation.

Job Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Manage a small team of procurement specialists and verify the correctness and effectiveness of purchase orders throughout their life cycles. You'll also keep an eye on lead times and resolve any production issues.
  • Find and develop new suppliers.
  • Negotiate prices with potential suppliers to obtain the most advantageous terms for the business.
  • Manage the company's supply chain and oversee its ongoing improvement.
  • Assist in training and managing the team to ensure procurement effectiveness and productivity.
  • Partner with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure timely and cost-effective logistics.
  • May travel to the USA or Europe twice annually.

Candidate Profile:

  • A bachelor's degree in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience working in manufacturing procurement management, including at least 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • An advantage would be knowledge of the pharmaceutical and electronic industries, healthcare, FMCG, skincare, or related manufacturing processes.
  • Excel proficiency with expertise of ERP process setup and optimisation. ERP (Kingdee), WMS, and SOP system knowledge preferred.
  • Independent, goal-oriented, detail-oriented, and possessing strong problem-solving abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills; ability to work well in a team atmosphere under pressure and in a fast-paced workplace; ability to travel to meet with suppliers and put in extra hours as needed; understanding of and solid experience working closely with western suppliers.
  • Excellent communication skills both in writing and speaking; Fluent in English, Mandarin & Cantonese.
  • Immediately available is highly advantage.
