Our client is a lifestyle European fashion buying office. The company has a fast development and has promising goodwill in the market. To cope with the company expansion, we are now hiring a CSR Manager in Myanmar to help them set up the team.

Responsibilities:

  • In charge of the selection and approval process of production facilities and make sure that the project is in-line with corporate minimum requirements, policies and procedures
  • Plan the sourcing and supply chain strategy which includes working with suppliers and the business teams to develop a plan for each factory and have a clear overview of how the factories add value to the company
  • Ensure new factories can meet company expectations and systems for smooth operation and onboarding
  • Provide value to buying and sourcing teams in handling supplier and factory relations, risk management, transparency and closeness to production. Address supply chain issues or disruptions efficiently and transparently
  • Provide strategies on factory in terms of capacity planning, automation levels, production consolidation and line management. Support the planning and forecasting of orders between brands, suppliers and factories
  • Handle all legal matters at the office and ensure compliance with local laws
  • Manage office operations and employee linked to the office and ensure employee and business partners comply with company's Code of Ethics. Build a team to ensure quality, merchandising and compliance requirements are met, keep them motivated and working within a clear framework
  • Work closely with other teams to align and execute on company's Responsible Sourcing strategy - including labor rights developments and targets. Specifically, collaborate closely with industry partners to support progress towards and implementation of FOA guidelines, and the development of stronger dispute resolution mechanisms in Myanmar
  • Alignment with regional stakeholders in collaboration with head office and regional teams - for example government ministries/departments, unions, employer associations and key stakeholders.
  • In collaboration with HQ, represent the company in various stakeholder forums - with a focus on supporting the development of strong industrial relations and a stable operational environment in Myanmar. Support ongoing projects and developments.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience within the garment industry - with core focus on production and supply chain management
  • Relevant education within sourcing, supply chain management, production or similar
  • In-depth knowledge and experience from the region
  • Experience in representing a company within a number of different industry forums and stakeholder initiatives
  • Experience with working in a large multi-national organization
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
