Job Responsibilities

  • assisting supervisor on the pre-opening preparation, including but not limited to, Standard Operation Procedure formulation and CAPEX acquisition for banquet related events;
  • ensuring the equipment and supplies requirements for events are fulfilled from time to time;
  • managing and collaborating with F&B counterparts, vendors or suppliers in a professional manner and ensure the successful running of events;
  • supporting the supervisor to monitor the operating expense for banquet including budgeting and forecasting;
  • maintaining good awareness of all museum programmes and communicating effectively with different stakeholders;
  • acting as on-site floor manager to monitor the performance of third-party service providers to ensure exceptional customer services are provided;
  • interacting with clients to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels, responding to and handling guest's enquiries and complaints;
  • acting as the representative for events operation to be involved in developing and delivering of training programmes to frontline service staff;
  • ensuring all acts in back-of-house and front-of-house (event-related) are in full compliance with the applicable laws; and
  • performing any other duties as may direct by supervisor when necessary.

Job Requirements

  • possess a recognised university degree in business administration, marketing, hospitality management or related discipline;
  • have 8 years of relevant work experience with at least 3 years at supervisory level;
  • have excellence knowledge in banquet services, as well as food & beverage, experience with international luxury hotel brand will be an advantage;
  • have a strong sense of responsibility, good interpersonal and organization skills and attentive to details;
  • be proficiency in written and spoken in English and Chinese including Putonghua;
  • be proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and
  • work in flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays if necessary.
