About Client:

Our client is a world leader in the railway industry over 80+ years and they are global leader in provide quick, individualized, and high-quality railway equipment systems and services to their clients' wants and worries with their multi-million business and more than 20+ countries business around the world. Currently, they are active seeking a Project Manager to supporting manage all project stakeholders, guide internal team towards successful project execution and client satisfaction.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for the from receiving a customer order to the project's completion and handover, all tasks related to a Platform Screen Doors project must be successfully delivered and coordinated. He or she is responsible for ensuring that the project is completed in accordance with the necessary specifications and standards, in a timely manner, and within the agreed-upon budget. Although the role is situated in Hong Kong, a project may be located anywhere else.

  • Deliver platform screen door projects on a domestic or worldwide level throughout the whole project lifetime, from order receipt to project closure.
  • Ensure that the project is completed in accordance with the Terms & Conditions, standards, specifications, practices, methods, and standards of quality.
  • Control project development and meet important deadlines.
  • Control project spending and make sure it performs financially Identification of project risks and opportunities, as well as the definition and prompt implementation of appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Locate and seize possibilities for project improvement.
  • Non-financial project performance metrics include timely delivery of project deliverables and successful First Article Inspection (FAI).
  • Build and maintain strong coordination and relationships with suppliers, customers, and multi-internal project teams. Arrange project review meetings with the client (onsite and offsite) to update status and deliver project-related documents, such as meeting minutes and periodic status update reports.

Candidates Profile:

  • Having a technical, business, or related degree from a tertiary institution is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in project management and a related field; prior railway industry expertise is a plus.
  • A formal and acknowledged project management qualification within an established framework, such as the PMP.
  • Proven abilities in project management, facilitation, analysis, and problem-solving, as well as a high level of initiative and adaptability in handling problems.
  • Commercially minded - able to recognize, negotiate, and act upon new opportunities to enhance the performance of current and potential suppliers in terms of both operational performance and cost.
  • Knowledge of the production process and contract management (supply chain management).
  • Finance and cost control expertise (WIP, opportunity, risk analysis) Ability to communicate at all levels and possess strong interpersonal and communication abilities the capacity to manage and coordinate diverse disciplines and international teams.
  • Travel to the project location.
  • Manage many projects concurrently.
  • Be organized and self-driven.
  • Fluent speak in English & Mandarin.
  • Candidates with less experience might be considered for junior level position.
