About the client:

Our client is one of leading global player in biometrics identification solutions whose goal is to cultivate a devoted customer base by consistently striving to deliver high-quality, reasonably priced goods and services, as well as by upholding a high standard of accountability by supporting ongoing progress in knowledge-based technology. Currently, they are active seeking potential candidates for the Purchasing Officer.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with various departments to ensure that the products purchased meet the needs of the business.
  • Be responsible for sourcing, negotiating with suppliers for pricing, quality, lead time, mode of shipment, and payment terms.
  • Be responsible for order placement, inventory control, and coordinating all transportation for international and PRC businesses, including ocean and air freight forwarding.

Candidates Profile:

  • Minimum of two years' experience in a related field in Logistics Operations.
  • A higher diploma in purchasing, supply chain management, or a similar field.
  • Purchasers should have at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the electronics sector.
  • ERP system knowledge is a plus.
  • Understanding of Chinese word processing and MS Office, including MS Word and Excel.
  • Outstanding written and verbal English and Mandarin skills.
  • Self-driven, organised, vivacious, and quick to pick things up.
  • The capacity to operate autonomously, under pressure, and with a high degree of compliance and deadline compliance.
  • outstanding sourcing, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • If necessary, must travel to PRC.
  • An advantage will be immediate availability.
