Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective procedures for control and compliance in place according to company guidelines and staff policies
  • Drive operation excellence and cost saving with annual productivity improvement in centralized expenses. Highlight any irregularities that require immediate remedial attention and recommend to management effective cost containment measures that could be implemented
  • Drive good collaboration with Procurement team to identify more effective procurement strategies to apply for Retail to achieve the best quality of service and cost efficiencies
  • Undertake business process reviews of current Retail operation highlighting areas of improvement for management consideration proactively and propose ways for retail department to run more cost effectively and efficiently
  • Apply data analytics in the identification and design of process improvement to drive material and tangible improvement in support services / functions
  • Drive efficient vendor management on improvement of quality of service, resilience / reliability of service, cost efficiency and flexibility especially face of rapidly changing environment and customer demands, and in line with the Integrated Channel Strategy
  • Provide user insight for FM related work, branches repair and maintenance, and coordination in branches; branch improvement work and energy saving initiatives
  • Budget control on the FM recharge and Property recharge. Make recommendation to Management to ensure spending is in the best interest of Retail
  • Manage tendering and price negotiation on contractor services and supplies
  • Handle EAP and manage budget for capex
  • Provide all-rounded management of betting terminals including budgeting, long-term roadmap, user requirements, new technology, development and testing, implementation and training, performance and vendor management
  • Manage Retail-driven IT projects, systems and equipment development and implementation, development, administration and frontline support
  • Represent Retail to participate in IT-related SP and BAU projects on requirement, testing, training and implementation
  • Seek opportunity to embrace technology for better UX and efficiency. Keep abreast of the latest development in technology and business practices and recommend to management the most appropriate tools to be used to enhance productivity as well as provide better service to customers
  • Participate in and coordinate user acceptance testing of enhancements on Retail systems and devices
  • Response to all ad hoc/special circumstances
  • Develop people and succession planning, to drive for a good flow of talent to sustain a strong support function

Requirements:

  • Tertiary education with at least 10 years of relevant working experience in a customer service oriented environment with strong emphasis on business planning
  • Energetic, persistent, independent and creative, highly versatile and willing to take up new challenges
  • Strong experience in customer service provision to the mass consumer with sound knowledge of best practices
  • Have strong analytical power to apply data intelligence in performance management and in driving improvements
  • Strong project management skills and be able to lead and drive multidisciplinary campaigns

  • Be a change agent. Sensitive to consumer / retail market trend with ability to identify opportunities and drive and implement changes
