Job Description

  • Build sales projections from a business perspective for Retail and Merchandising, for discussion with country heads and Finance
  • Develop OTB budgets to insure Countries' budgets and buy plans are executed in accordance to HQ and APAC strategies
  • Prepare analysis with insights, regular business reviews to flag risks and opportunities
  • Supervise and support country planners to ensure merchandise appear in the right store at the right time and in the right quantities and assortment, involving planning stock levels and monitoring sales performance
  • Set up OTB procedures for the region so that country heads and buyers are clear of objectives and actions for their buys, and harmonise reports across APAC
  • Partner with Merchandising and Retail to lay out action plans for risks and opportunities identified
  • Build planning modules for core & continuative merchandise
  • Consolidate weekly/monthly sales analysis for APAC and HQ through regular working with country planners and buyers to understand business
  • Recommend price index and gross margins (maximise ROI) for the region and for each country
  • Analyse end of season markdowns and propose markdown strategies based on inventory and sales analysis by countries, by locations to ensure cohesive flow from one season to the next
  • Analyse intended orders and determine whether the orders (on APAC basis) are coherent to the business objectives
  • Anticipate shipments, receipting capacity, display, BOH of each country to minimise congestions, maximise sales opportunities, sell through, and margins by working closely with logistics
  • Perform effective inventory control, inventory management best practices
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned
