The UIUX Designer will be tasked with applying expert research, analytical and UX design skills to conduct research (e.g. competitor analysis, qualitative and quantitative research, usability testing), develop insight-led research assets (e.g. personas, customer journeys) and design artifacts that bring the research to life in a tangible and realistic light (e.g. sketches, w­ireframes, prototypes) for a wide range of clients.

This person must be a fast learner and possess the ability to distill complex challenges and processes into easy-to-understand solutions. A strong understanding of related disciplines such as Service Design and Interaction Design is a must.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with internal digital business team, to design end-to-end experiences using participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of qualitative and quantitative research to uncover insights, learn about user behavior and verify design concepts.
  • Turn visions into concepts and translate those concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity despite system complexity. Utilize industry design standards and best practices to define and implement UX design criteria, UX guidelines, and strategic experience solutions.
  • Work closely with the business units (Marketing / Operation) when required, , UI Designer and Project Manager to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and conduct user requirements analysis, task analysis, conceptual modeling, UX design, and associated research.
  • Produce user requirements specifications, personas, storyboards, scenarios, user flow diagrams, wireframes, design prototypes, and design specifications.
  • Work closely with development teams to manage the design process, drive decisions, track design issues and ensure that design specifications are implemented.
  • Design and specify user interfaces and information architecture using participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of requirements discovery.
  • Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually.

    Job Requirement
  • University degree in a design-related discipline is preferred, with at least 3 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, creative UX designer or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of user interface design with consumer applications, preferably mobile devices, rich web apps/site, or similar channels.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with driving and applying human-centered design processes.
  • Proven ability in a variety of design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Zeplin, InVision, JIRA, Confluence.
  • Proficient in a variety of methods to convey ideas and concepts (g. storyboards, wireframes, prototypes, etc) to business stakeholders.
  • Strategic perspective on the variety of work including business; brand, and/or strategic experience is desirable.
  • Creative problem-solver with the ability to work with a blank slate and inspire others to push the boundaries of experience design.
  • Strong knowledge of design process and project management.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates an ability to turn ideas into a strong and unique creative vision. A portfolio that provides insights into the candidate's design thinking process is a must.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin a definite plus.
  • Strong at multi-tasking.
  • Experience working with cross-border teams.
  • Experience working with agile development teams is desirable
