Job Duties:

  • Responsible for the planning and management of all inventory for the Hong Kong & Macau business including eCommerce channel in HK & Tmall China
  • Controlling of all inventory requirements (Core, MI and NPD), to ensure inventory is available to support commercial plans to drive the business objectives.
  • To monitor Warehouse operations versus the agreed SLA.
  • Provide and maintain high service level to stores with timely and relevant stock deliveries.
  • Communicate the stock position & analysis on the stock quality.
  • Review KPI's & implementation of action plans to support the business

Controlling, Scheduling & Replenishment

  • Communicate inventory requirements and inventory supply concerns to BSI through the S&OP process.
  • Ensure sufficient total stock cover through the provided Supply Plan in collaboration with the commercial, forecasting & Intl Supply Chain teams, versus the agreed forecast. (vs +7month).
  • Ensure that the S&OP process reflects the market needs & deadlines are being met as per agreed schedules (versus AP Operations Calendar).
  • To monitor the automated replenishment as per the S&OP process.
  • To raise manual replenishment as per the deadlines, including NPD's & MTO's.
  • To communicate any delays in product availability, under operations control.
  • Purchase Ordering and ensuring the availability of Non-Retail items (including, sampling, bags, pulse items, etc.,.) to support retail operations.
  • Purchasing of local supplies - price labels, packing cartons, warehouse consumables, etc.

Warehouse Management

  • To be the first line contact on all warehouse related issues.
  • Constant review of stock holding levels within the warehouse.
  • Monitor & report on the warehouse/logistics cost within the budget.
  • Monitor & report on the warehouse/logistics KPI's & service levels.
  • Peak warehouse activity & space planning in conjunction with 3PL partner.
  • Scheduling of inbound supply with the 3PL to avoid bottlenecks & space /supply issues.
  • Prioritising shipment and deliveries to meet business objectives to avoid OOS.
  • Minimize off-site storage usage and work with commercial and operations on stock clearance plans, especially on slow moving and short life products.
  • Review, and co-ordinate warehouse stock discrepancies, stock adjustment and write offs.
  • Assisting in the annual warehouse stock count.

Store Inventory Management

  • Review of store delivery schedules to manage delivery cost, delivery timing and the challenges of store space, in conjunction with AP Transport Manager.
  • Work with retail operations to implement improvements on delivery service levels from warehouse.
  • Continuous review of store stock holding requirements, reviewing uneven stock distribution in stores and managing inter-store transfers.
  • Managing stock life of inventory in stores to avoid write off due to expiry.
  • Maintain the batch code policy and process and review areas of improvement.
  • Manage the Stock Returns process, minimising the inefficient stock returns movement & publish reports.
  • Management the Product phase in phase out change.

Stock holding Management

  • Control of short shelf-life inventory list developing clearance strategy to avoid write off costs.
  • Review of Excess stock and Slow-movers & ageing and recommend appropriate follow up action.
  • Execution of clearance activities.
  • Identification of products for outlet sale based on classification and aged stock reports. Including consolidation of products from regular stores for selling at outlet.
  • QC issues and claims.
  • Executing the supply plan from DC replenishment to store supply to ensure the agreed quantity of stock in the right location.

Improve supply chain processes and performance

  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and enhanced efficiency across the Supply Chain by:
  • Improving accuracy of product delivery through better coordination with logistics & transportation.
  • Monitor and improve supplier KPIs (e.g. delivery accuracy, quality control, delivery terms and times, pricing, lead-times).
  • Coordinating the S&OP meetings at a market level to ensure conformance to plan.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Management or relevant aspect.
  • To have exposure of a 3PL warehousing & logistics environment, either in-house or with external suppliers.
  • Understanding of supply chain best practice, especially within a retail supply chain environment.
  • Ability to analyse & present reports on data & trends within logistics.
  • Sound knowledge of SAP.
  • Experience of improving supply chain operational processes, with some exposure to an S&OP process.
  • Excellent understanding of inventory management, reporting & management of inventory quality.
  • Experience of managing people or a small team and influencing cross functionally.
  • Fluent spoken and written Chinese (Cantonese) and English.
  • Advance Excel knowledge.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to details.
  • Ability to manage large amounts of complex and sensitive information in high pressure situations.
